Physical Education

The High School PE curriculum differs from that of the lower grades in that there is an additional “thinking” component. At this level, the students are able to become more conscious of their bodies through their understanding of movement during game play. Accompanying this new awareness are modules on the physiology of the body, for example, the differences between aerobic and anaerobic conditioning.

The greatest portion of the Physical Education program is devoted to games and sports, which not only provide the physical benefits of vigorous exercise, but also emphasize the understanding of the emotional and mental aspects of healthy competition
