Visiting Emerson

We would love to show you our beautiful campus and classrooms, and introduce you to our wonderful teachers and students!  We hold a variety of public events and lectures throughout the year, and welcome visitors to these events.  We also hold Open Houses and Campus Tours, for parents and students considering enrollment: the dates are listed below.  Individual tours may be arranged if a parent is unable to attend a group tour.  To register for a Campus Tour or Open House, please contact Raelee Peirce,  Admissions, 919-967-1858, ext 14.

Open House Dates 2011-2012

At an Open House, you may visit our teachers in their classrooms, and see some of the students’ work, while school is not in session. This provides an opportunity to speak with both Class Teachers and Specialty Teachers in depth and ask questions.  Bring the whole family!

This Open House focuses on the High School alone.  You will have a chance to meet all the High School teachers and staff, and see some of the work done by our High School students. For parents and students.

Saturday, November 19, 2011, 10:00 am: Puppet Show in the Brown Wing and the Early Childhood Open House at the Kindergarten and Nursery Classrooms

Join us after our 10am Puppet Show for a visit to the Early Childhood classrooms and a chat with our Early Childhood teachers. Bring your children!

Early Childhood May Day Celebration and Open House
Join our pre-k and kindergarten families for our beautiful dancing around the May Pole Celebration and Picnic at 11am. Bring your little ones as well as your own picnic lunch, blanket, and chairs. Tour the Early Childhood buildings and meet our teachers from 12-1pm. (Free)

Windows into Emerson (Campus Tour) Dates 2012

The Campus Tour includes introduction to Waldorf education, a walk around the campus, and a visit to several classrooms in session. You will have an opportunity to talk with our Admissions Director, Raelee Peirce; the Class Teachers will not be available because the tours are held during the school day. However, there will be plenty of time for Questions and Answers.

All tours are Fridays, 8:30am -10:30 am.  Meet at the Gazebo for coffee and refreshments to begin.

Early Childhood Only (Pre-K and Kindergarten)
