Emerson Waldorf School Pre-K-12

"Education is not a question of what knowledge children need to acquire to enter society, but what capacities in human beings can be developed to bring new forces into society."

- Rudolf Steiner

Giving

The Emerson Waldorf School is very fortunate to have such generous parents, alumni, and friends.  From the beginning, our history has been full of giving.  Our school was started by a group of parents and teachers who donated and loaned their money to first rent space and then buy land and build buildings.  Since that time, giving has continued, as parents donated both money and time to build the West Wing, the High School, the Nursery building, and our school Farm and Sports Fields.

Each year we hold an Annual Fund campaign, which helps to meet the gap between tuition and the cost of sending a child to EWS.   The Annual Fund meets the costs of our Tuition Adjustment program, helps us to build our special programs, including music and sports, and allows us to continue to build our endowment.   Each year, 100% of our Board members donate to this fund, as well as most of our parent body.  Thank you!

In 2009, we initiated our Founders Circle, for parents, alumni and friends who would like to give a substantial amount in honor of our Founders and their vision:  click here for more information.
