Patricia Cornell

Kindergarten Teacher


Miss Patricia has been at EWS for over 13 years. She brought with her many years of teaching experience in early childhood from traditional schools. Miss Patricia is a graduate of Sunbridge College of NY in Waldorf Early Childhood Education, holds her NC State Credentials from Durham Tech and is currently continuing her training in Early Childhood Development and Brain Gym. Her background includes a degree in design from F.I.T. in NYC and over 20 years experience in design and small business management.


Andrea Eichinger-Wiese

Kindergarten Teacher


One of four children, Andrea Eichinger-Wiese has fond memories of a childhood spent in travel, due to her father's career in the Air Force. She developed an interest in Waldorf education while a student at the University of Oregon, from which she received a BA in Art Education. Soon after she completed her Waldorf Kindergarten Training in Gloucestor England. Mrs. Eichinger-Wiese has 25 years experience as a Waldorf Early Childhood teacher, including three years of operating her own kindergarten. She has been mentoring kindergarten teachers


Robin Olson

Kindergarten Teacher


Miss Robin has been teaching in our Kindergarten since 1995, and has two daughters who are alumnae of EWS. She has a BFA in Theater and Education from Arizona State University, and has been a Marketing Director, a freelance writer, and has taught theater at High School level. She did her Waldorf Early Childhood training at Sunbridge College in Spring Valley, NY. Miss Robin also loves horseback riding, and teaches horseback riding lessons on the weekends. She also serves as Chair of the EWS College of Teachers and serves on the EWS Board of Directors.


Renate Landes

Lead Nursery Teacher


After receiving her B.A. in Psychology from Vassar College, Renate spent twenty years at home raising her four children. While researching nursery programs for her youngest child, she discovered Waldorf education and embarked upon the path to becoming a teacher. Renate did her teacher training in Early Childhood Education at Sunbridge Institute in Spring Valley, N.Y., receiving her certification and a MSEd in 2004. She has over fifteen years teaching experience. Renate recently arrived in North Carolina after living in the Boston, MA area. In her free time, Renate enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, hiking, traveling, reading, and exploring nature.


Diana Stoycheva

Lead Nursery Teacher


Diana was born and lived in Bulgaria, until she was nine years old. Her family moved to Scotland where she attended the Aberdeen Waldorf School and later on, Kimberton Waldorf School in Pennsylvania. Diana studied Early Childhood education at Goddard College in VT. She went on to study Waldorf education at Sunbridge College, Sophia's Hearth and LifeWays. Diana comes to us with 14 years of Waldorf Early Childhood teaching experience, and has taught kindergarten, nursery and parent and child classes for over a decade. In 2012, Diana opened a Waldorf early childhood home program on her family farm in Pennsylvania. She now lives with her daughter, husband, and assorted pets a stone's throw from EWS. Diana is a fiber artist and doll maker, she loves gardening, beekeeping, plant dyeing, toy making and all things that inspire wonder in children and children-at-heart.
