Colleen Everhart

Ms. Everhart has served on the AWSNA Board of Trustees since 2014. Currently, she holds the position of Vice President of the AWSNA Board of Trustees and chair of the Board's Committee on Trustees and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. 

Between 2008-2017, Ms. Everhart served on AWSNA's Leadership Council for the Great Lakes Region. She was a Chicago Waldorf School Faculty member between 1991-2017 where she taught High School Humanities/Theatre and Early Childhood, and served as the chair of the High School, Early Childhood and College of Teachers.

Previous to her Chicago Waldorf School career, Ms. Everhart was a professional actor, appearing in stage, TV and film productions for over 20 years. She has been a guest teacher and teacher mentor and evaluator in many Waldorf schools, including the Brooklyn Waldorf School, City of Lakes Waldorf School, Halton Waldorf School, and the Suncoast Waldorf School of Tampa Bay. Ms. Everhart is also the proud parent of a Chicago Waldorf School alum, Avi Bowie, '98.

Michelle Fridman

Ms. Fridman began her Waldorf journey when researching schools for her eldest son and started attending Parent-Child classes with him at the Waldorf School of New Orleans in 2014. She immediately felt connected to Waldorf education and was involved with the Waldorf School of New Orleans as a parent and later joined the school as the Finance & Human Resources Director in 2019. Prior to that Ms Fridman worked in corporate accounting for 13 years and holds a Master's Degree in Finance from Tulane University. Ms Fridman grew up overseas in Singapore, Malaysia, Turkey, and Norway and loves to travel and explore the world with her three young sons and husband. Her other hobbies include sewing, running, forest bathing, and chocolate!
