Immunization Policy
At the Emerson Waldorf School, our students’ health and safety are a priority. We follow the North Carolina rules and laws on immunizations, which require that all children receive certain vaccines.
When a student first enrolls in school, and again in kindergarten, 7th grade, and 12th grade, schools are required to ensure the student has their needed vaccines. This is true for all North Carolina schools, including public, private, and religious schools.
Families are required to submit up-to-date immunization records from a doctor or provider, or an exemption for medical or religious reasons, within 30 calendar days from the first day of attendance. Students who have not presented records by this date will be excluded from school per public health law until the records are provided.
