Parent Enrichment
Parent Enrichment at Emerson Waldorf School
Unplugged & More Connected
The Waldorf Parent Enrichment Series is an invitation to step into the heart of our school’s philosophy and community. Whether you're new to Waldorf or seeking to deepen your understanding as a seasoned parent or caregiver, this in-person, two-part offering will provide insight, inspiration, and connection.
This enrichment program is strongly encouraged for all new EWS families and equally valuable for long-time Waldorf parents and caregivers. It's offered as a gift to the full Emerson Waldorf School community, with additional spots available for families from other Waldorf-affiliated schools in the Triangle area (a registration fee will apply for non-EWS families).
Together, we’ll explore how Waldorf education nurtures the whole child and how this holistic, developmentally-informed approach supports children with clarity, compassion, and joy, especially in a rapidly changing world shaped by technology.
What Is Waldorf Education?
Waldorf education, founded by Rudolf Steiner, is a holistic, developmentally-informed approach that meets children where they are. It weaves together the academic, artistic, social-emotional, behavioral, and will-building realms in a rhythmically structured, age-appropriate way.
At Emerson Waldorf School, we believe:
Children thrive when learning aligns with their natural developmental stages
Creativity and curiosity are essential tools for lifelong learning
Education should engage head, heart, and hands
Imagination, reverence, and rhythm create a secure foundation for growth
Pre-registration Required. More info coming soon…
